Approaching

Just in case you have not heard the screaming coming from our house – I received final comments back from CSO on Saturday and I’ll be submitting my thesis on Friday morning at 9am.
In between now and then, there are literally piles of small consistency changes I need to make, and a few sections to polish. Consequently I have taken the next four days off of work and will be doing this at home. Unfortunately I’ll miss the arrival of my most awesome $6,000 exercise bike (for work!) today. I think it’s a small price to pay for getting the thesis done – I’ll get my chance to bond with the bike starting on Friday.
Kiwiman deserves special mention: after I got the comments from CSO (by text message from Singapore – I still can’t believe that), Kiwiman sat and read my whole thesis this weekend, making excellent comments as he went. Sometimes I can’t believe I’m married to such a good scientist/mentor, although the mentor part feels a bit weird sometimes. How many husbands can offer scientific advice to their wives?
In the meantime, I’m twittering as usual (and I’m converting friends to the awesome IM aggregator Disgby, which you really should try, especially if you’re a Facebook user) but expect not to hear too much from me until Friday afternoon.
